 Mary Ann Wright, had a dream as a child to help others.  A Cerebral Palsy victim, Mary Ann wanted to provide physically challenged people with social activities, recreation and specialized transportation for wheelchair and walker users.
           In 1948 she was joined by Agnes Perone, a Polio victim, and launched the organization that is today The Mancus Foundation. Regrettably, Agnes past away before she had a chance to see the organization become the leading advocate and provider of services for physically challenged people in the region.
            Mary Ann Wright saw her dream  fulfilled in now what is The Mancus Foundation. Mary Ann past away in December 2006, as the last  Co-Founder; after 58 years of total dedication to her dream.
